Join Naturalist and birder Matt Felperin for a unique trip to the Delaware Shore to observe migrating shorebirds and horseshoe crabs gathering in huge numbers to breed! Learn about a bird called the Red Knot and why the species is at high risk, and what American Bird Conservancy and Patuxent River Park are doing to protect threatened species. Bring a sack lunch. Coolers with ice and refreshments will be provided. We will meet at Patuxent River Park at 6am and board our mini-bus for the drive to the Delaware Shore. Drop off will be at 6pm.
