Black Birders Week is back! This event celebrates Black birders, naturalists, and outdoor enthusiasts, highlighting their contributions to the natural world and advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the birding community. Now in it's fifth year, Black Birders Week will take place from May 26th to June 1st, with this year's theme "Wings of Justice: Soaring for Change." This event is being hosted in partnership with Maria Elena Moreno of Experience Prince George's and the Black AF in STEM Collective and will include a pontoon boat tour and guided bird walk at Patuxent River Park.
