Adventure awaits! Explore exciting art techniques to create original works and group projects. Our camp will not only promote creativity and build self-confidence but it will incorporate traditional drawing, painting, and additional techniques to complete 2D and 3D art projects. Campers will use various materials, including paper mache, plaster, recycled materials, paint, and more. We will also go to the pool and enjoy recreational activities. Show off your artwork at the end of the summer in the Summer Spotlight exhibition!

What makes you an artist? Campers will learn different art mediums which may include drawing, painting, tie-dying, pottery, nature art, and clay modeling. Learn about the grains and different types of food horses, cows and donkeys eat, followed by a craft using the very grains these animals eat.

Learn to paint on canvas with this interactive painting class. Soft drinks will be served.

Learn to paint with either watercolor or acrylic. Obtain the materials list from the center and be prepared to paint the first day.
Develop ideas from sketches to canvas. Paint from direct observation. Bring sketching and painting materials (including a prepared canvas) and still life ideas to first class. Please consult the alert text online or your confirmation sheet for a full list of materials to purchase.

This visual arts program will introduce different artistic mediums for self-expression and provide opportunities for skill development. Includes instruction in basic art techniques for drawing, painting, sculpting, collage and printmaking. This program is specifically designed for persons with disabilities who reside in Prince George's County. This class has a staff to participant ratio of 1:4.
