Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies Veterans Program - 17487

Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies veterans' program is a fitness initiative for military personnel with disabilities. Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies socials are designed to provide recreation, peer support, and networking opportunities for veterans with disabilities and their families. These socials are designed to foster relationships, to build camaraderie, and to promote activity engagement along with community involvement.

Join us for our 3nd Annual Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies (HMHB) "Turkey Shoot" at the Prince George's County Trap & Skeet Center. Squads of five individuals will shoot a round of Wobble trap which equals 25 targets each. Wobble is a variation of standard trap; because the machine oscillates up and down and side to side, many shooters consider it to be fun and engaging as well as a more realistic preparation for bird hunting. No experience necessary, come spend a lovely fall day shooting trap with fellow HMHB Veteran Members.

Instruction for the group will be provided, as well as clay targets, ammo, eye/ear protection, shotgun rental and lunch.
