Okinawan Karate: Beginner - 21614

The secret is out! With influences from Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian cultures, Okinawan karate was privately practiced by fighting masters until the early 20th Century. This combative style of karate emphasizes natural body movements to develop coordination and balance while learning self-defense using open hands and weaponless fighting. Develop the skills and self-awareness needed to begin mastery of this ancient martial art!

If you are interested in attending two classes per week, please register for the Wednesday 6:45pm class. There are no classes the following dates: December 23-January 1.
Additional Class Requirements: All students who participate in the Karate program must wear a white karate uniform. Karate uniforms may be purchase online from this website. The student has 2 week to purchase a uniform from the start of a new session. If a student has not purchased the specified uniform by the 3rd week of class, they will not be allowed to participate. Required patches for the uniform can be purchased at the Activity Desk for $20 per 2 patch set.
