You've walked inside an airport but have you ever wanted to walk on the runway? Take a guided, outside walking tour of the College Park Airport. This is the oldest continuously operating airport in the world. Learn about the many "firsts" that happened at the Airport. These milestones include the first military aviation training facility and the first airmail flight. Discover how the Airport is used today. Guest must be able to walk at least an hour on uneven, outside surfaces.
Explore the College Park Airport up close! Enjoy a guided walking tour of the airport's tarmac while learning about the many "firsts" that happened on the airfield and how the airport is used today. Ages 12 & up. This roughly one-hour tour takes place outdoors on slightly uneven terrain.
Thank you for your registration. This tour is outside and on uneven terrain and will require you to walk and/or stand for up to an hour. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing. If needed, you can bring a water bottle. Please contact [email protected] with any questions in the meantime.
