Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies Veterans Program - 17487

Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies veterans' program is a fitness initiative for military personnel with disabilities. Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies socials are designed to provide recreation, peer support, and networking opportunities for veterans with disabilities and their families. These socials are designed to foster relationships, to build camaraderie, and to promote activity engagement along with community involvement.

Join us for a Saturday morning bike ride along the Anacostia River Trail. We will meet at Bladensburg Waterfront Park at 8:30AM, embark on a 2-hour ride along the beautiful, paved trail from 9-11AM, before returning to the park for a group photo. This paved bike path rides past Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, as well as many beautiful parks and wetlands.

Trip options:
15-mile roundtrip route (to the Anacostia Park Roller Skate Pavilion)
24-mile roundtrip route (to the Yards Park in Navy Yard, DC)

BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike, or rent one from Bladensburg.
