Basket weaving is artistry! From beginner to advanced skill levels, sign up to learn basketry using reed and other natural materials. Connect to history as you creatively craft in the way of the ancestors, gain self-confidence, and relieve stress. Materials and tools supplied by instructor. Learn to weave a large, shallow basket on a round wooden base. Attach a fancy or rustic wrought iron handle and rim. Perfect to carry pies or other delicate delights to fall events. The basket measures about 12” in diameter by about 3” high (about 11” high with the handle). This project is designed for those with a beginner to intermediate skill level. Reasonable hand dexterity is needed if you are trying this for the first time.
